Youth mat
Two Warren County members of North East's Ragin' Raisins Wrestling Club competed and placed in a youth tournament held this past weekend in Saegertown. Russell's Logan Jaquay finished second in the 9-10 year-old, 65-pound weight class and younger brother Gannon Jaquay was third in the 7-8 year-old, 65-pound division.
Rescheduled
The Johnsonburg at Sheffield wrestling match originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 8 at Sheffield Area High School has been rescheduled for Friday, February 8. Junior high matches will begin at 6 p.m. with varsity wrestling getting underway at 7 p.m.
Postponed
The Coudersport at Sheffield wrestling match originally scheduled for Tuesday was postponed. No make-up date has been announced.
Sheffield Open
The 51st Annual Sheffield Open will be held June 20-21, 2013. Both rounds of the tournament will be held at Peek'N Peak Resort. Both the upper and lower courses will be played. The deadline for signing up is May 15, 2013. More details will be made available in the spring.
