Eisenhower got an up-close look at one of the best wrestling programs in the state Tuesday night, dropping a 69-6 dual meet to defending District 10 champion Fort LeBoeuf at Eisenhower High School.
LeBoeuf started strong with a win in the night's opening match at 113, and didn't let up until Eisenhower's Jake Johnson pinned the Bisons' Garrett Renwald in the second period of the 195-pound match.
"Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes you're the hydrant," said Knights coach Kiel Woodburn. "Jake Johnson pulled through again and wrestled well. We have to wrestle better as a team."

CORRY - Youngsville was within arm's reach with a couple weight classes to go, but fell to Corry in the Region 3 match at Corry Area High School.

Central Tech 46, Warren 25
ERIE - Central Tech defeated Warren for the first time in recent memory on Tuesday at Central Tech High School.
It was the first time the Falcons defeated the Dragons since Glenn Baldensperger has been coach and he's in his 12th season. Warren had won at least seven straight since District 10 created regions in the 2003-04 season.
"(Central Tech is) improved," said Baldensperger, whose Dragons were without two starters due to injury/illness, and started 10 wrestlers who were either freshmen or sophomores.
"(Regardless), we gave up too many bonus points," he said. "The guys that won went out and did what they should have done. We lost some matches we probably should have been in."
