Robert L. Klakamp, Sr., 74, of Stroup Rd, Spring Creek, Pa., died on Monday, December 17, 2012, at the Corry Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 3, 1938 in Warren, Pa., a son of the late Frank and Bessie Stoddard Klakamp.
Robert was raised and educated in Warren, Pa. He was the youngest of six children, two sisters Bernice and Marie and three brothers Roy, Ken and Frank. As a young man, he was a construction worker, then started in the logging business. Robert worked throughout the area as a self-employed logger until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death on June 13, 1990 by his former wife Rachel L. Stroup Klakamp.
Robert is survived by a son Robert L. Klakamp, Jr., of Union City, Pa., and three grandchildren: Robert III, Bradley (B.J.) and Amie. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Thursday from 5 to 8 p. m.
There will be no funeral service held.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, Pa.
