REGIS GEITNER

Regis P. Geitner, Jr., 79, of Warren, PA and formerly of Oil City, PA, died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at his residence after suffering a heart attack. He was born July 3, 1933 in Warren, PA to the late Regis P. and Alice Mullen Geitner. He was a resident of Oil City, PA for 30 years where he was employed by Joy Manufacturing, retiring from there after more than 25 years employment. He was a 1951 graduate of Warren High School and a Warren area resident for 49 years. Regis was a member of the Oil City Eagles Club, Franklin Elks Lodge, an avid golfer, a member of the Senior Golf League of Jamestown, N.Y., an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing softball in his younger years.

He had served with the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his companion, Shirley DeVore Hoden of Warren, PA; two children, Virginia "Ginny" Eakin of Seneca, PA, and Regis P. Geitner, III and wife, Irene, of Rocky Mount, N.C.; four grandchildren, Halyce Eakin, Kailyn Lam, Regis P. Geitner, IV., and Sara Geitner; oneGreatGrandchild Reid Geitner and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Ann "Peggy" Dudenhoeffer. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA, on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M., when a memorial service will be conducted by Rev.
