Voter ID

December 14, 2012
The Times Observer

Dear editor:

I love this land and its freedoms! The author of the recent letter on Voter ID had an opinion and here's mine!

When someone tries to do right and make people around the state a little more accountable for their voting actions, they get labeled as being legislative frauds.

Sen. Scarnati and Rep. Rapp are good people, and we are fortunate to have them represent us. You don't know what goes on during voting in the state and I would venture a guess we probably won't. You might want to change your affliation to independent.

I've been around a few years and I don't hardly remember anybody complaining about the previous administration driving us deeper in debt with their give-aways, but hey, that's okay as long as we give away what we don't have, it's our children's problem! I get sick and tired of hearing liberals, either party, wanting to give away things. Try that with your own budget and see what happens!

If the state didn't spend the money to make people "aware" of the new voter law, they would get accused of hiding something!

I think what bothers the writer more is not that the money was spent on voter ID law which I think is good but that the state isn't giving away what they know is not fiscally prudent to a populace who just wants, more and more no matter where it comes from! Your home doesn't work that way and the state and country shouldn't either!
