Fleeing and eluding. Warren-based state police initiated a traffic stop on December 11 at 4:15 p.m. on US 6 near National Forge Road. When stopped, the driver, James Wightman, 26, Tidioute, fled on foot. It was later determined that Wightman was driving on a suspended driver's license, had several open containers in the vehicle and was on state parole. Wightman was taken into custody several hours later by Pa. State Parole. Charges pending in this investigation include fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest and several other summary traffic violations.

Glade Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that on December 11 at 10 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a locker at Warren Area High School and proceeded to steal a gray and black 31 brand drawstring bag from a known 16-year-old female. The bag contained a WAHS basketball uniform and a pair of navy and white Nike Hyper Aggressor basketball shoes. The total value of the items stolen equals approximately $150. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are asked to contact the state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers. The investigation is pending.
