Norma May Konkle, 76, of 313 Main Street, Tidioute, PA, died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Warren General Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Rocky Grove, PA, December 21, 1935, a daughter of the late John and Isabelle Kinnear Johnson and had lived in West Hickory until 1960. She had attended the Endeavor School and was a life member of the Pequignot/ Yeager VFW Post 8803 Auxiliary, of Tidioute. She had been employed as the bookkeeper at Heenan Trucking Company of Tidioute.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Konkle, at home, a daughter, Pam Konkle, Warren, PA, two sons, John Konkle and Jimmy and his wife Terri Konkle, all of Tidioute, five granddaughters: Mrs. Brian (Elizabeth Steinkamp) Johnson, Clarendon, PA, Katheryn Steinkamp, Warren, PA, Lindsay Tock, Sugar Grove, PA, Allison Konkle, US Air Force, Dayton, Ohio, and Bella Konkle, Tidioute. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. William (Nancy) Bemis, West Hickory, a brother and sisterinlaw, Bill and Noreen Brown, Tidioute, Many nieces and nephews, and good friends, Mike & Andy Heenan.
There will be no visitation. Friends may attend a memorial service to be held in the Tidioute Presbyterian Church, Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 o'clock with Rev. Ralph Culp officiating. Interment will follow in Swedish Union Cemetery, Tidioute. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Warren County, 2 Crescent Park West, Warren, PA 16365.
