STRATTENVILLE - The Tidioute Charter Lady Bulldogs fell to 0-3 on the season after a 74-15 loss to the Clarion-Limestone Lions Monday at Clarion-Limestone High School.
With a roster that includes just two seniors, the young Bulldogs were overwhelmed from the opening tip Monday as the hosts jumped out to a 23-6 lead after the first quarter. That lead had been stretched to 45-8 at the half and 60-8 after three quarters as the Bulldogs went well over 12 minutes without scoring.
Still, TCCS continued to battle until the final whistle and Robbi Kightlinger finished with a team-high nine points for the Lady Bulldogs. Aubrey Sonney, Tanya Krouse and Allyvia Morgan also scored in defeat.
The junior varsity game was also won by Clarion-Limestone, 69-13. No other details, including a box score were provided to the Times Observer.
TCCS (0-3) will look for the season's first victory Wednesday when it hosts West Forest.
