James W. Huntington, 63, a resident at the Oil City Presbyterian Home, and formerly of Tidioute, died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at UPMC Seneca Medical Center, after an extended illness. He was born in Warren, Pa. on June 12, 1949, a son of the late Richard W. and Ruby Kerney Huntington and had lived in the Tidioute area his whole life. He was a graduate of Tidioute High, class of 1969, and was the owner/operator of the Huntington Lumber Mill in Triumph Township, Warren County.
He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Greene, a daughter Carrie May Wiles, a brother Robert W. Huntington, all of Tidioute, a sister, Margaret Hanna, Pinellis Park, Florida, and a nephew, Maxwell Schoenfeld, also of Florida.
Friends will be received at the James M. Higgins Funeral Home, 3 Elm Street, Tidioute, on Tuesday afternoon, December 11th from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home by Rev. William Beaty and Rev. Steve Gruber, CoPastors of the Tidioute First United Methodist Church.
Interment will follow in Swedish Union Cemetery, Triumph Township, Warren County.
The family suggests that memorials be made to a charity of ones choice, the American Diabetes Association or UMCOR.
