A Sheffield man entered a guilty plea to charges related to the hit and run injury of a minor in Clarendon, and a New York State man entered a guilty plea to charges related to child pornography during Thursday morning court proceedings before Judge Maureen Skerda.
Richard A. Eck entered pleas of guilty to a charge of accidents involving injury or death-not properly licensed and a charge of driving while operating privileges are suspended or revoked.
Eck struck a juvenile pedestrian at the intersection of Route 6 and Exchange Street in Clarendon and failed to stop and render aid or notify police of the incident. The juvenile suffered serious head trauma as a result of the accident.
Charges of operating a vehicle without required financial responsibility, failure to stop and give information or render aid, failure to notify police of an accident involving injury or death, failure to use safety belt, accidents with serious bodily injury and furnishing authorities with information without knowledge were not prosecuted.
Rodney Lee Walters, 12974 Mud Creek Rd., Kennedy, N.Y., entered pleas of guilty to a charge of sexual abuse of children and a charge of possessing instruments of a crime (computer).
The charges against Walters are related to the possession of materials depicting children under 18 committing sexual acts on his computer.
Fifteen additional charges of sexual abuse of children were not prosecuted.
Four additional defendants entered pleas of guilty during court proceeding while 14 defendants entered pleas of not guilty and two bench warrants were issued.

Jason D. Black, 36331 Route 6, Spring Creek, to charges of DUI: Highest rate of alcohol (.16+), notice of change of name/address, driving on right side of roadway, driving on roadways laned for traffic, driving vehicle at safe speed and careless driving. Charges of DUI: General impairment incapable of safe driving and DUI: General Impairment incapable of safe driving with accident were not prosecuted.
Kristopher G. Foe, 1405 Forest Ave., Jamestown, N.Y., to a charge of DUI: General impairment.
Brandon Michael Hostovich, 38 Elmwood Dr., to charges of unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles, four charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and a charge of DUI: combined alcohol and drug. Charges of criminal attempt (theft by unlawful taking) and 18 additional counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
David E. Miller, 516 High St., Johnsonburg, to charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, no passing zones, turning movements and required signals, careless driving, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and bath salts and DUI: Controlled substance schedule I.
Charges of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, DUI: Controlled substance impaired ability, registration/certification of title, obedience to traffic control devices, driving on right side of roadway, two additional charges of no passing zones, driving on roadways laned for traffic, duty of driver on approach of emergency vehicles, two additional charges of turning movements and required signals, driving vehicle at safe speed, reckless driving, use of multi-beam road lighting equipment, restraint systems, operation of vehicle without official certificate of inspection and two charges of DUI: controlled substance schedule II or III were not prosecuted.
Not guilty pleas were entered by:
Brandon Vaughan Bell, 127 Ross Ave., Buffalo, N.Y., to charges of possession with intent to deliver bath salts, possession of a controlled substance and seven counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
David Edward Cutler, 443 Jacob Lane, North Warren, to a charge of hindering apprehension or prosecution. Cutler is accused of harboring James Sorenson while Sorenson was wanted for escape.
Korena Lynn Davis, 205 Lincoln Ave., to a charge of retail theft.
Derek Gene Edwards, 1724 Priest Hollow Rd., Russell, to charges of theft by unlawful taking, unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles and purchase, consumption, possession or transport of liquor by a minor.
Mark Eugene Foley, 228 E. Walnut St., Titusville, to charges of DUI: General impairment, DUI: Highest rate of alcohol (BAC .16+), driving on right side of roadway, driving on roadways laned for traffic and careless driving.
Chevy Allan Haskins, 9 S. Marion St., to charges of theft by unlawful taking, unauthorized use automobiles and other vehicles and purchase, consumption, possession or transport of liquor by a minor.
Daniel Charles Hellman, 8440 Rt. 426, Corry, had a plea of not guilty entered on his behalf to charges of aggravated assault (serious injury to a police officer), two counts of simple assault and two counts of harassment. Warren County Public Defender John Parroccini said Hellman has been unable or unwilling to speak since his arrest.
Samantha J. Knapp, 1779 Chapman Dam Rd., Clarendon, to a charge of forgery.
Nikkia Rowland Lindstrom, 104 Buchanan St., to a charge of theft by deception.
Zachary A. Mihailoff, 32089 Route 408, Townville, to two charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and a charge of harassment. Mihailoff was held in lieu of $10,000 bail after appearing late to court. A bench warrant was issued for Mihailoff at a previous court date for failure to appear.
William J. Moore, 235 Abraham Hollow Rd., Youngsville, to charges of DUI: General impairment, DUI: Minors, purchase, consumption, possession or transport of liquor by a minor, stop signs and yield signs and careless driving.
James M. Scott, 108 Oak St., Apt. 510, to charges of DUI: Highest rate of alcohol (.16+), DUI: General Impairment, DUI: General Impairment with accident, accident involving damage to unattended vehicle or property and careless driving.
Andrew Scott Sivi, 407 Water St., Apt. 2, to charges of theft by unlawful taking and retail theft.
Sara Marie Tomassoni, 17 1/2 Plum St., to charges of criminal conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking, forgery, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, violation of the controlled substance, drug device and cosmetics act and possession of a controlled substance.
Bench warrants were issued for:
Lindsay N. Schmidt, 6047 Rt. 474, Ashville, N.Y., for failure to appear on charges of theft by unlawful taking.
Shannon M. Wolfe, 1665 Market St. Ext., Red Carpet Inn, Room 37, for failure to appear on charges of rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault complainant less than 13 years old, sexual assault, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse less than 13 years of age, indecent assault person less than 16 years of age, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.
