Dear Editor:
While walking to my car after work today I took notice of the fresh greens and red bows which adorn the lamp posts on Second Ave. to the Hickory Street bridge. A big kudos to those who put the time and effort into making our little town just a little more festive and more beautiful! Most recently I had commented to one of my friends I wish they would decorate those historic lamp posts with fresh greens and red velvet bows.
Two years ago I had the pleasure of visiting Colonial Williamsburg,Va.with my sister and was impressed with the lovely decorating motif thoughout the historic town.
Driving through town I was thinking how beautiful the Hickory Street bridge would be if decorated in the same motif.
Thank you for adding that special touch of charm and beauty to our little town.
