Sugar Grove
Retail theft. Employees at Kwik Fill gas station, Routes 957 and 69, reported to Warren-based state police that two male suspects entered the store to buy cigarettes and pay for gas between 3 and 3:15 a.m. Dec. 2. According to police, one of the suspects stole items and left without paying for them; both males left in a white car. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crime Stoppers.
Erie County
Theft. Carrieann Eccles, 35, Columbus, reported to Corry-based state police that between 7 p.m. Nov. 30 and 2 p.m. Dec. 3 someone entered her unlocked Ford Escape that was parked at 12250 Route 6, Lot 11, Wayne Township, and took three new video games and 20 music CDs.
Youngsville
Bad Check. The Youngsville Borough Police Dept. reported that Ann Hutchison, Youngsville, on Aug. 30, wrote a bad check to The Galley Restaurant for $40.87. On Sept. 6, she wrote a bad check to Dicks Service Center for $20.00, and on Sept. 13 wrote a second bad check to Dicks Service Center for $60.02. All three checks were returned due to insufficient funds. She has been charged with three counts of bad checks.
Bad Check. The Youngsville Borough Police Dept. reported that Richard Danielson, Spring Creek, wrote two bad checks to The Galley Restaurant on Sept. 18 for $40.00 and $60.00. Both checks were returned due to insufficient funds. He has been charged with two counts of bad checkds.
Theft of property lost, mislaid, or delivered by mistake. The Youngsville Borough Police Dept. has investigated a lost/stolen cellular telephone from the Youngsville Elementary Middle School. The phone was reported stolen on Nov. 15. The cellular telephone has been recovered by the police and returned to the owner. Charges are pending on a YEMS 13-year-old student that had the phone, who used it many times over a 5-day span.
