College news

Warren Area High School graduate and Pitt-Bradford men's basketball team player Tyler Fantaskey scored five points for the Panthers in Tuesday's 80-77 double overtime victory over Juniata. The Panthers trailed by as many as 19 points in the second half before storming back to force overtime. Fantaskey and the Panthers (4-2) return to action Saturday, hosting Pitt-Greensburg.

A pair of Warren County gymnasts represented the Lakewood Starz gymnastics team in the 12 Days of Christmas Invitational hosted by the Franklin YMCA on Sunday. Results for each gymnast are listed below:

Adult hockey

Several Warren County hockey players contributed in recent wins for Superior Tire/Northwest Savings Bank in the Ed Shults Jamestown Adult Hockey League at Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena, including:

Wes Kuzminski and Trevor Wilkins with two goals each and Jon Zigler and Nate Mahaffey one goal each, plus Ryan Betts in goal, in a 10-4 win on Nov. 25 over Summit Financial in the JAHL B Division, and; Ben Farnham, Kuzminski and Matt Englebert one goal each in a 5-4 win Dec. 2 over Southside Redemption.
