Northwest Savings Bank continues one of its Christmas traditions with the sponsorship of the Warren Concert Association's holiday concert. The event, to be held on Monday, Dec. 10, at the historic Struthers Library Theatre, will feature the Southern Fried Jazz Band.
The group, led by founder Don Edwards, will feature an additional member at this concert, local favorite Pete Pepke. Pepke, Warren native, retired banker and professional musician, will take to the stage with Southern Fried Jazz at 7:30 p.m. Monday. In the tradition of jazz musicians not limiting themselves to playing with just one group, Pete has a history of performing with this band on the road. The Dec, 10 concert will be the first time he'll appear with them in his hometown of Warren.
Based in Huntersville, N.C., ]Don Edwards has perfected a holiday jazz program that will put everyone in the audience in a festive holiday mood. Much-loved Christmas tunes will be performed by talented and entertaining jazz musicians, with a mix of instrumentals and vocals. Knowing that the Warren community loves a sing-along, the program will feature an audience participation number prior to intermission and will conclude with a finale meant for everyone to sing.

Single-admission tickets will be available at the box office on the evening of the concert. The theater doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Southern Fried Jazz Band CDs will be available for purchase and band members will be available after the show for conversation and autographs.
The box office will also have concert gift certificates available, good for admission to the Jan. 23 Great American Songbook concert or the March 15 DePue Brothers Band performance. The certificates provide a 25-percent discount over the regular price of a single admission.
Tickets for a fund-raising basket raffle can be purchased prior to the show and during intermission. The basket theme is "Jazz Lovers" and includes lots of items that will make for a cozy winter evening at home. The winning ticket will be drawn prior to the start of the second half of the concert.
