‘Christmas Magic’

ARTE, Youth Connection take the stage after Christmas Walk

December 6, 2012
The Times Observer

The musical theater performing troupes from Struthers Library Theatre will take to the stage immediately following the Christmas Walk this Friday evening, Dec. 7. The 72 members of the Allegheny Regional Theatre Experience (ARTE), ARTE Jr. and the Youth Connection will share "The Magic of Christmas" a little after 8 p.m. A carol sing will begin at 7:45 p.m. as people come in to find their seats. Plan on 90 minutes of true entertainment as ARTE and ARTE Jr. entertain with "One Crazy Night Before Christmas" and Youth Connection shares their Christmas show "One Magic Christmas." The evening's performance is under the direction of Jennifer Koebley with production assistance from Charmaine Check.

Youth Connection, a service-based performing show choir, took their 30-minute song and dance revue of traditional Christmas favorites into the community starting Dec. 2

"We have 11 shows planned this season. We will perform at many nursing homes, elementary schools, and a few Christmas parties," manager of Youth Connection, Charmaine Check said. "The members of Youth Connection love performing for the community and actually complained that there weren't more scheduled outside performances this year. With such hectic holiday schedules already, it makes me so proud that these fine students want to do even more!"
