This letter concerns the Annual Report of the EOC that was a special insert in this paper two weeks ago. The Main Street Artisans of Sheffield wish to clarify or correct our inclusion in the paragraph concerning the County Regional Main Street projects. When we opened our shop in 2009 we did apply and receive $150.00 towards our porch sign. We have not applied nor received any help , financial or otherwise in the past two years. This published Annual Report is a financial statement to the public. The listing of Main Street Artisans in the article infers that financial and other support was granted to us.
There are over a dozen artists who gave financially and physically did the hard work to open our adjacent studio. Though EOC does help in many county projects, the expansion of Main Street Artisans was not one of them.
