Ann T. Proper Samora, 71, passed away on November 20, 2012 after a brief illness. A loving mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother, she left this life peacefully and surrounded by her caring family.
Ann's life started in Warren, Pennsylvania on January 11, 1941 with twin brother Robert. The daughter of Ward and Ethel Proper, brother Alton and sister Hazel were there to meet her. Graduating from Warren High School and then college, Ann lived in many places across the country. Settling in Albuquerque in 1976, she raised her boys and worked for the University of New Mexico School of Medicine as an electron microscopist for over 20 years. Ann was a talented artist whose work will remain treasured family heirlooms.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents Ward and Ethel Proper; brother Alton; sister Hazel; and beloved son Scott. She is survived by sons Nicholas (Lisa) Munger, son Randall Munger, daughterinlaw Rocki Munger, son Arthur Samora, and brother Robert (Carolyn) Proper (niece Tiffany); grandchildren Kelsey, Titine, Adrianna, Jacob, Cooper, Madison, Evangeline, Crystal and Christopher; and one greatgrandchild, Bryana. Ann is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and many friends that she loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) in her name. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her extraordinary life will take place at a later date.
