Bodamer honored

Port Allegany star quarterback Matt Bodamer has been named the Gatorade Pennsylvania Player of the Year. He is Pennsylvania's all-time passer with more than 10,000 yards. Bodamer, a 6-foot, 180-pound senior, was named to the all-state team last year and is set to take on Sharpsville Friday in the PIAA Class A quarterfinals at Bradford High School.

District 10 fans may recognize the Ohio winner as well. Mentor standout Mitch Trubisky, a North Carolina recruit, threw for 4,066 yards and 44 touchdowns and was named the Gatorade Player of the Year after leading the Cardinals to the Division I semifinals.
