Thanksgiving blessing
Pictured are many of the parishioners from Saint Luke’s Church in Youngsville gathered around the altar on Thanksgiving Eve to give thanks to God for the many blessings in their lives. They, in turn, blessed the families served by the Youngsville Ministerium Food Pantry with their donations during the month of November, including 14 frozen turkeys.
ROY Wreath Contest
Entries must be delivered to Allegheny Artistry, 106 East Main Street, Youngsville by Dec. 5 during the Allegheny Artistry Gallery hours of Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There is a $1 donation per entry. For information, call 814-563-4286. The event is sponsored by the Revitalization of Youngsville (ROY) for the Youngsville Hometown Christmas.

Activities
Anyone interested in participating in Youngsville's Hometown Christmas, Thursday, Dec. 6, from 5-7 p.m. can get updated information and vendor forms at www.hometownxmasyoungsvillepa.blogspot.com.
The parade for the traditional Hometown Christmas will start near the laundromat and proceed west on East Main Street to downtown at 5 p.m. with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus riding through town in a horse-drawn wagon.
Mrs. Claus will greet families at the ROY tent in front of the ROY Store and Santa Claus will be listening to wish lists at the Youngsville Public Library. The wagon will continue to make round trips from town to the library.
The downtown will have food and vendors between Railroad Street and Ford Street on East Main Street. The First United Methodist Church will serve hot drinks and cookies, along with Ellie Dunn making ornaments with the children to place on the tree in front of PNC, with a tree lighting ceremony after the parade.
ROY committee members, Friends of the Rouse, and the Masons will be serving hot food on the street. There will be carolers, barbershoppers, flute choir and Paul & Joan providing music. A Wreath Contest, sign ups for a free gift, and tickets will be sold for a basket raffle to be awarded on Dec. 20.
All church choir members and all others who love to sing Christmas music should know that Barb Luce is forming a Christmas Walk Choir to sing during the annual Youngsville Hometown Christmas Walk on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 5-7 p.m. No rehearsals are necessary. Call 563-4936 if you are willing to participate. The committee is also requesting that everyone join in the parade, meet at the Laundromat and walk through downtown Youngsville.
ROY sweatshirts
Just in time for Christmas gift giving, a Youngsville hooded sweatshirt, "All Tracks Lead to Youngsville, Pennsylvania" imprinted on the back, the front has 'Youngsville, Pa' and the ROY Boy imprinted in black or red. Hoodies are gray and of good quality. We have a nice selection of different sizes available at the ROY store (next to the Allegheny Artistry), at the Youngsville Pharmacy or at Holmberg's Salon. Profits benefit ROY.
