Constance Marie "Connie" McCray, 65, of Wright St., Corry, Pa., died at Corry Memorial Hospital on November 24, 2012.
She was born on September 14, 1947 in Corry, Pa., a daughter of the late Robert J. and Victoria F. Wojciechowski Waite.
Connie was raised and educated in Corry, graduating from Corry High School in 1965. She then married and stayed home to raise her family. After her family had grown, she worked various jobs and most recently she worked for Corry Memorial Hospital as a nurse's aide. Due to her health, Connie retired in 1996.
She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Corry, Pa. She was also a member of the ladies group Beta Sigma Phi, the Corry Garden Club, and a former board member for the American Cancer Society Corry Unit. Connie enjoyed quilting and was an avid flower gardener.
In addition to her husband, Henry L. McCray, whom she married on July 28, 1964, Connie is survived by a daughter Denise M. Lewis and her husband Scott of Sandy Lake, Pa., a son Michael S. McCray and his wife Sue Chang McCray of Corrales, NM, three sisters; Terrie A. Gage of Corry, Pa., her twin Bonnie W. Bowley of Sheffield, Pa., and Gail L. Kirsch and her husband Shawn of Russell, Pa., and three brothers; Jerry P. Waite and his wife Young Hui of Warren, Pa., James R. Waite and his wife Deanna of Corry, Pa., and David J. Waite of Columbus, Pa. She is also survived by the two loves of her life, her grandchildren; Kristen L. and Nicholas M. Lewis. Also by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 203 W. Washington St., Corry, Pa., at 1 pm. on Saturday, December 15, 2012. Rev. Mark Hoffman will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa.
