The Grand Valley and Sanford Charge of United Methodist Churches invites the public to attend the following special events in honor of the Christmas season:
Sunday, Dec. 2: the First Sunday in Advent, will be celebrated with the beautiful "Hanging of the Greens" service, beginning at 11 a.m. at Grand Valley United Methodist Church, at 107 Goodwill St. (off Route 27) in Grand Valley. Individuals and groups will perform vocal and instrumental music and readings pertaining to the Christmas season, meanwhile the church will be decorated for the holiday by members of the congregation.
Saturday, Dec. 8, Sanford United Methodist Church, at 2550 Sanford Rd. (located off both Route 27 or Mickle Hill Road), will conduct their annual Christmas program at 7 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 16, on the third Sunday in Advent, Grand Valley United Methodist Church will demonstrate their annual Christmas Program at 11 a.m.
Monday, Dec. 24, at 7 p.m., Grand Valley United Methodist Church will hold their annual Christmas Eve candle light service.
