RICHARD JOHNSON

Richard H. Johnson, 76, of Yankee Bush Road, Warren, Pa., passed away after a yearlong illness on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at his home.

Richard was born July 3, 1936, in Olean, NY, the son of the late Donald and Hazel Hogue Johnson. He was a 1954 graduate of Warren High School, and then served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. He lived his adult life in Warren and was employed at Rexnord as a Customer Sales and Service Rep, and then owned and operated Jack's Plumbing in Warren, until he retired in 1999. He was a member of the Joseph Warren Lodge # 726, Free and Accepted Masons, and a member of the Coudersport Consistory, 32nd Degree Mason and Past Master of his Lodge. Richard was Baptist by faith.

Richard enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, and he especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed playing Sudoku.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Marlene Gadsby Johnson, Warren, PA, whom he married November 5, 1956; two sons, Danny Johnson, and wife, Barb, Youngsville, PA, and Donald Johnson, Pittsburgh, PA, one daughter, Dawn Marie Salsgiver, and husband, Ken, Clarendon, PA; two sisters, Grace Kuzminski, and husband, Frank, Youngsville, PA, and Nancy Rossman, Warren, PA; five grandchildren, Jennifer Cain, and husband, Lee, Jamestown, NY, Emily Boespflug, and husband, Mark, Brea, CA, Cole Johnson, and wife, Samantha, Pittsburgh, PA, Danielle Salsgiver, and companion, Jeremiah Miller, Bradford, PA, and Frank Salsgiver, Clarendon, PA; four great grandchildren, Lee Cain, Jr., Maliya Cain, Talyn Cain, and Zoe Boespflug.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Johnson, in 2000, and a daughterinlaw, Fritzie Johnson.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Warren Library Association, 205 Market St., Warren, PA 16365, or Hospice of Warren County, 2 Crescent Park West, Warren, PA 16365.
