Hunter's breakfast

A Hunter's Breakfast will be served from 4:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, the first day of deer hunting season, at the Lion's Den in Sheffield. Cost will be $6 for the all-you-can-eat buffet.

To dance Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at the St. Marys Moose Club. The Vagabonds of DuBois will provide music for all types of dancing. The public is invited. For information, contact Paul Leofsky at 563-7516.

Wednesday service

The Lutheran churches of Warren and Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church will hold a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 306 Conewango Ave., Warren, at 7 pm. Wednesday, Nov. 21. The Rev. David M. Blank, senior pastor at First Lutheran Church, will preach, and the Rev. Beth Costlow, St. Paul Lutheran Church, will preside. The Rev. Matthew Scott, priest-in-charge at Trinity Episcopal, will serve as the cantor, and the Rev. Jeff Ewing, associate pastor at First Lutheran, will assist. The anthem will be presented by the combined choirs of the congregations under the direction of John Brustrom, choir director/organist at St. Paul. The public is invited.

Ham radio training

Warren County Department of Public Safety RACES is hosting a "Ham In a Day" class Saturday, Dec. 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Youngsville Fire Hall. Participants will earn their Amateur Radio License in one day. This is a free one-day exam study class. For more information or to register, call 563-2220, ext 26. Pre-Registration for the class is required. Lunch will be provided. Walk-in upgrade testing will start at 2 p.m. No registration is required for upgrades.

Hunter's breakfast

A Hunter's Breakfast will be offered at Saron Lutheran Church, 148 W. Main St., Youngsville, from 5 to 7:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26. The menu will include eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, toast, juice and coffee, all for a $6 donation per person. Hunters also can get their thermos filled to keep the chill off for $4 to $5, depending on the size of the thermos. All are welcome. Doors will open at 5 a.m.

Closed for the Holiday

Experience, Inc.. and the Allegheny Community Center will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 22 and 23, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Both will be open and providing services on Monday, Nov. 26.

Win at bridge

Winners in Monday evening duplicate bridge game at the YMCA on Nov. 12 were Beth Howe and Carol Lake, first, and Mary Conarro and Magda Fanaritis, second. On Nov. 19, winners were Joyce Davis and Janet Templeton, first, and a three-way tie for second between Mary Conarro and Dan Megill, Lana Creal and Doug Megill and Hal Conarro with Matt Oram.

Crary hours

The current show at the Crary Art Gallery, Market St., Warren, by Mercyhurst University art professor Daniel Burke AND by Texas artist Jonathan Stewart, will close Sunday. Holiday hours will be Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
