Dear editor:
Enough Already.
Dear Republicans of Warren County. At this writing, it has been 8 days since the election. You lost. Stop winning about it already. This country is not going to become a welfare state. Ask yourself this republicans And Democrats for that matter. Do 47 percent of the people you personally know in your life want to live off the government? For the sake of our the republic the stereotyping of each other must stop.
Democrats in Warren County have been the minority and under dog for a long time. We have lost elections and watched the other party win the white house. We did not put out signs that suggested we were not with Ronald Reagan or George H.W. Or George W. Bush. They were our Presidents and we respected that.
If anything Democrats here in Warren County have learned how to be gracious losers. Denis Leary's quote from a stand up routine comes to mind here. He said "I thought I was going to be the starting center fielder for the New York Yankees when I grew up. Life sucks; get a helmet."
Put on your helmet and work with us for 4 years already will ya?
