The Philomel Club held its annual tureen dinner Nov. 4 at the Woman's Club. Preceding dinner, Rosalind Hupp, president, introduced Mary Donaldson, program chairman, who recited three poems by Margaret Eaton Watts. This was followed by "The Gardens of Anna Maria Luisa de Medeci" for flute, 'cello and piano, by Hilary Tann, played by the Mna' Tri' (Ann Mead, flute; Vicki Hanson, 'cello, and Joan Eighmey, piano).
Mary Donaldson then recited "The Night the Bed Fell" by James Thurber. The program ended with Mozart's "Sonata K.253 in G", performed by Cathy Peterson, pianist.
Hostesses for the tureen dinner were Norma Mills and Lynn Sears. The tables were decorated with striped cloths and various colored gourds and leaves.
