Seven defendants plead guilty, seven not guilty

Seven defendants entered guilty pleas, seven pleaded not guilty and a bench warrant was issued for another during arraignment proceedings on Thursday with Judge William Morgan presiding.

The following individuals entered guilty pleas:

Karen E. Covey, 411 Laurel St., to one count of simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor. One count each of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person were not prosecuted.

Austin John Donato, 203 Miller St., Sheffield, to one count of felony burglary. Three counts of burglary, five counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, one count each of receiving stolen property, theft from a motor vehicle and escape, four counts of criminal conspiracy (burglary), two counts of criminal conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking) and one count of criminal conspiracy (theft from a motor vehicle) were not prosecuted.

Donato also entered pleas on three additional dockets. He pleaded guilty to one count of felony theft by unlawful taking. Two counts of burglary and one count each of criminal trespass and unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles were not prosecuted. He pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorized use of motor vehicle amended from receiving stolen property. He also pleaded guilty to one count each of burglary and theft unlawful taking. One count each of receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, burglary, criminal trespass and two counts of criminal mischief were not prosecuted.

Lee Anderson Jordan, 225 Pennsylvania Ave. W., Apt. 303, to one count of theft by unlawful taking and forgery. A count of burglary was not prosecuted.

Joshua David Lowery, 60 Allegheny Dr., to one count of statutory sexual assault. One count each of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors were not prosecuted.

Jesse Lee Parsons, 22 Mill St., Sheffield, to one count of mutual combat amended from disorderly conduct. One count each of aggravated assault (extreme indifference), disorderly conduct and public drunkenness were not prosecuted.

Frank Edward Salsgiver, 12829 Route 6, Clarendon, to one count of disorderly conduct. One count each of aggravated assault and simple assault were not prosecuted.

Jacob W. Steinman, 241 Buchanan St., to one count each of DUI: highest rate of alcohol (BAC +.16) - 1st and driver required to be licensed. One count each of DUI: general impairment - incapable of safe driving - 1st and DUI: general impairment - incapable of safe driving with accident - 1st were not prosecuted.

The following individuals pleaded not guilty:

Roger Stephen Dalo, 4115 Market St., to two counts of terroristic threats and one count of disorderly conduct.

Richard A. Eck, 12 First Mill St., Sheffield, to one count each of accidents involving death/personal injury, driving while under suspension, required financial responsibility, duty to give information and render aid, immediate notice of accident to police department, restraint systems, accident/serious bodily injury and false reports to law enforcement authorities.

George Albert Flasher, 27 W. Main St., Youngsville, to one count each of aggravated assault (extreme indifference), simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Timothy Jay Fry, 332 Prospect St., Apt. 9, to one count each of simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Brandon Michael Hostovich, 25 Elmwood Dr., to one count each of possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI: combines alcohol and drug or combination - 3rd offense, careless driving, restraint systems, driving on roadways laned for traffic and unlawful activities.

William Edward Housler, 1202 Pennsylvania Ave. W., to two counts of possession with intent to deliver, 16 counts of possession of controlled substance, four counts of prohibited offensive weapons and one count of possession, sale, distribution, manufacture, advertise of electronic device.

Clarence Laverne Kelwaski, 14 Sciota St., Jamestown, N.Y., to one count each of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and defiant trespass.

A bench warrant was issued for Raymond Erik Wright, 20203 Hatchtown Rd., Spartansburg. He has been charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking.
