Knights to distribute coats on Saturday

November 16, 2012
The Times Observer

The Knights of Columbus began a "Children in Need" campaign in 2006, and the K of C "Coats for Kids" program is part of that campaign. Since 2009, the Knights of Columbus has distributed more than 70,000 coats to children in the United States and Canada.

The Youngsville and Warren K of C councils have worked together under the direction of Mike Stec to obtain donations for the 2012 / 2013 K of C Coats for Kids program in Warren County. More than 200 new coats are available in a variety of styles and colors, and in sizes ranging from 4 to 16 for girls, and 4 to 18 for boys.

Coats will be offered at the St. Luke Catholic Church in Youngsville from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. Coats are also available at the Warren Salvation Army during business hours. Additional coats will be given to other organizations for distribution.
