Chalk drawing Sunday
Starbrick Community Church, 68 Weiler Rd., invites the public to a chalk drawing service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18. Children and adults of the church will do five chalk drawings on a Thanksgiving theme, with the younger children creating pictures of their own. Colored lights and the slide projector will be used to enhance the drawings. Assistant minister Trevor Smith will present the scripture lesson. Special music will be presented by Christina Chase. Following the service, there will be a church dinner for those attending the service. Participants should take a dish to share and table service.
Crafters to meet
North Warren Crafters will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Train Station in North Warren.
Bingo Monday
Bingo will be played at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at the Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., Warren. The public is invited for a surprise.
NCT on ANF
The Allegheny National Forest chapter of the North Country National Scenic Trail will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at the Lion's Den in Sheffield. Participants will review the past year's accomplishments and set a schedule for next year. There will be no December meeting. For the past three years, the Student Conservation Association has been working on the larger projects along the trail, and they will work for one more year. They has greatly improved the hiking experience by various constructions and re-routes. If anyone has an idea for trail improvements, this is the time to speak up. The meeting is open to the public.
