Belt promotions
Members of Rick Johnson’s Black Belt Academy recently passed their respective belt testings after a 90-minute exam on Thursday, Nov. 8. Those promoted along with belt rank promoted to include, front row from left, Ryleigh Ecklund (3rd Brown//black stripe) and Conner Younger Yellow/Black Stripe), and; back row, Damien Upton (Blue/Black stripe), Madisyn Ecklund (2nd Brown/black stripe), Jacob Hawkins (Yellow/black stripe), Steven Lamb (1st Brown/black stripe), MacKenzie Collins (Yellow/black stripe), Vanessa Ferry (Blue/black stripe) and Anthony Errett (Yellow/black stripe). The exam was administered by Hanshi Rick Johnson (9th Degree Black Belt), Jeff Anderson (8th Degree Black Belt), Greg Flagella (7th Degree Black Belt), Thomas Green (6th Degree Black Belt), Jeremy McIntyre (6th Degree Black Belt) and Howard Linamen (3rd Degree Black Belt).
