Cherry Grove Twp.

Bad checks. Warren-based state police report on July 13, Dorette Melville, 42, Jamestown, N.Y., issued a check in the amount of $150 to Christie Urig of Clarendon. Police said insufficient funds were available and charges were filed against Melville in District Court for theft by deception and bad checks.

Columbus Twp.

Aggravated assault. Corry-based state police report responding to a domestic call on Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Police said Daniel Hellmann, 22, Corry, pushed a state trooper on the chest while being detained. Police said Hellmann had assaulted his mother, Kelly Hellmann, 47, Corry, by biting her shoulder and face and his girlfriend, Deanna Miller, 22, Corry, leaving red marks on her face. Police said Hellmann was placed in the Warren County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Pine Grove Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police said someone entered the vehicle of Linda Nelson, Russell, between Nov. 1 and 12 and removed the registration and insurance cards, and approximately $30 in change. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Theft. Warren-based state police said someone stole the following items from Perry Wenzel, Russell, between Oct. 23 and Nov. 7: two sets of golf clubs (both right-handed, one set is TI Tech), a small Porter Cable air compressor, and an old, beige dome tent. The total for all items is approximately $475. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police said someone used a blunt object to strike the rear driver's side quarter panel of Richard Feeny's 2010 Ford King Cab between 8 p.m. Nov. 12 and 5 p.m. Nov. 13. Police said the estimated damage to the vehicle is undetermined. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Pleasant Twp.

Harassment. Warren-based state police report investigating a harassment complaint that occurred Nov. 13 at 6 a.m. at Country Fair on Pleasant Drive. According to police, Blaine Gunn, 50, struck Timothy Steinman, 54, causing him to fall back into the window. Police said charges against Gunn are pending through District Justice Glenn Carlson's office.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 6 at the intersection of Mohawk Avenue at 4:44 p.m. Nov. 13. According to police, the crash occurred as Patrice Bengston, 59, Warren, was traveling north on Mohawk Avenue and traveled through the green traffic light at Route 6 and Chaz Miller, 23, Corry, failed to stop at the Route 6 westbound red light and struck Bengston's vehicle. Police said neither driver was injured; both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Police said Miller was charged with traffic control signals.

Spring Creek

Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Old Route 77 at the intersection of Woloszyn Road at 4:25 p.m. Nov. 6. According to police, Patricia Cornell, 36, Spartanburg, was westbound on Old Route 77 while Audra Daniels, 32, Spring Creek, was eastbound at the same location. Police said Cornell attempted to turn south on Woloszyn Road and traveled into the path of Daniels' vehicle. Daniels' vehicle struck the right side of Cornell's vehicle causing it to travel 23 feet off the south berm and come to rest facing south on Woloszyn Road. Police said Daniels' vehicle traveled 19 feet off the south berm and came to rest against Cornell's vehicle's right side facing east. According to police, Cornell was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Police said DUI and summary violations charges against Cornell are pending before District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth.

Sugar Grove

Twp.

Attempted burglary. Warren-based state police said between noon and 5 p.m. on Nov. 10 someone attempted to gain entry into the Caitlin Hill Road residence of Ronald Decker. During the attempt, the suspect broke a window frame causing approximately $150 in damage. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
