AOC on the move
On Thursday, Nov. 15, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike The Tidioute River Trail. This is an easy, in-and-out hike that will take about three hours. Participants will meet at the water treatment plant in Tidioute at 1:30 p.m. From Rt. 62 cross the Allegheny River on the bridge then turn left on Main Street and drive through town to the treatment plant parking area on the left. On Sunday, Nov. 18, the AOC will hold its annual dinner meeting at Olmsted Manor. Speaker will be Cecile Stelter, District Forester for the Cornplanter State Forest.
To dance Sunday
The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Ridgway Moose Club. Ray Skovinsky of Avonmore, Pa., will provide music for all types of dancing. The public is welcome. For information, call Paul Leofsky at 563-7516.
Classic Jazz
Warren Public Library's final Classic Jazz program of the year will be presented by host Chase Putnam from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, in the Slater Room. The program will feature a wide range of traditional American jazz recordings dating from the late 1920s to the present. Although the playlist will largely reflect the interests of the host, the selections are all a part of America's musical heritage. The program will be free and open to the public.
Treasure sale
An Annual Holiday Treasure Sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church. The day will include cookies, a dollar table for the kids and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Craft show
A craft show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Sugar Grove Fire Hall.
Soup lunch
Thursday
Berea Lutheran Church will hold its monthly soup luncheon this Thursday, Nov. 15, at noon. The menu will include vegetable beef soup, rolls, butter, dessert and beverage. Donations are appreciated but not necessary.
