Dear Editor,
Yipee, us seniors got a walloping increase in our Social Security. A big 1.7 percent because they tell us nothing is costing more. Where do they live with their heads buried in the sand. What do they care, they get paid big bucks (taxpayers money).
Don't they listen to the news? Be prepared for the cost of vegetables, fruit, meat, chicken going to cost more because of the drought. Now they tell us National Fuel is raising rates. An average increase for Social Security will amount to 70 cents a day. Oh goody what can you buy with that, not even a candy bar. Medicare hasn't decided yet what they are going to take from us.
What will we have left - nothing. What really bugs me, that people on Medicaid don't have to pay for nothing. Everything is free, vision, dentist, doctors visit, prescription. Not only that they get a access card and cash if eligible. People on Social Security worked all their lives. Not only do we have to pay for Medicare, then we have to take out a supplement to cover what Medicare don't pay while all these people don't pay nothing.
Some of been on it all their lives. Generation after generation. Well as a senior citizen I got that off my chest.
