D-10 playoffs

The Warren Dragons football team will play the Cathedral Prep Ramblers - the PIAA's top-ranked Class AAA school - in the District 10 Class AAA Semifinals at 7 p.m. Friday at Erie Veterans Stadium. The winner of the game will advance to next week's District 10 Class AAA Championship.

Ike football

The Eisenhower Football Boosters will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Room 309 of the high school.

D-9 football

Sheffield senior Tyler Fitzgerald was named to the d9sports.com football week 10 honor roll for his performance in the Wolverines' 15-6 victory over Youngsville. Fitzgerald finished the game with 13 carries for 89 yards and a touchdown as the Wolverines finished the year with a 3-7 record.

Ironmen hockey

The Jamestown Ironmen of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) defeated the Janesville Jets, 5-2, Saturday at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena.

The Ironmen (15-3-2) outshot the Jets 27-9 and jumped out to a 5-0 lead through two periods. Tyler Dunagen scored twice for the NAHL North Division leaders while Luc Gerdes, Victor Johannson and Ross Pavek scored once each.

Jamestown hits the road next weekend for a pair of games against Port Huron (11-9-1). The Ironmen return home Thanksgiving weekend to host the Johnstown Tomahawks (8-6-6).
