Boro Office Closed

Youngsville Borough Office and services will be closed Friday, Nov. 9 in observance of Veterans Day.

Winter Wonderland

The Youngsville Fireman's Auxiliary will be sponsoring the annual Winter Wonderland Craft Show on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Youngsville Fire Hall. Free admission. Over 85 vendor tables for your holiday gift shopping, food will be available, and a Chinese Auction.

Contest Rules

1. Entries must be delivered to Allegheny Artistry, 106 E. Main St., Youngsville, by Dec. 5 during the Allegheny Artistry Gallery hours of Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. $1 donation per entry.

2. Wreathes must be any size up to 28 inches wide

3. Wreathes can consist of or be decorated with live, dried, or artificial materials in any color with any or no theme.

4. Wreathes must be marked either Not for Sale (NFS) or with a secure tag marked with your name and your selling price. If sold you keep the full purchase price.

5. There will be three winning entries based on the Most Original, the Best Use of Materials and the Peoples Choice

6. Winners will receive a gift certificate.

7. Winners will be announced directly after the Hometown Christmas

8. All entries will be displayed at the Allegheny Artistry

Bicentennial

The Bicentennial committee will be raffling off three Christmas baskets two adult and one child's treasure chest. The raffle tickets are available for a donation of 1 for $1, 3 for $2 or 10 for $5.

The baskets will be on display at the Youngsville Pharmacy starting the first of November, tickets are available at the pharmacy or from a committee member or call 563-7807. The drawing will be held at the pharmacy on Dec. 22 at 12:30 p.m. All proceeds go towards the Bicentennial celebration scheduled for June 28-30, 2013.

ROY at

Winter Wonderland

ROY will be fundraising with sales from selling different knit items, ROY hooded sweatshirts, mugs and baked goods. We need your help, we need baked goods - such as cookies, breads, pies, etc., we hope you will be able to help out.

Items can brought to the Allegheny Artistry on Friday by 4 p.m., or deliver to us at the Fire Hall on Saturday by 9 a.m. The Winter Wonderland Craft Show is at the Youngsville Fire Hall on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hometown Christmas

Attention all church choir members and all others who love to sing Christmas music.

Barb Luce is forming a Christmas Walk Choir to sing during the annual Youngsville Hometown Christmas Walk on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. No rehearsals necessary.

Call 563-4936 if you are willing to participate.

Youngsville REC

The Recreation Commission will not be meeting at its scheduled time in December. They will be at the Hometown Christmas Celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. in front of Youngsville Pharmacy on Thursday, Dec. 6.

The next scheduled meeting will be Jan. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Youngsville Borough Building. The Recreation Commission is planning several events for the new year, including the Annual Sled Riding Party and an 80's Party.

Sledding is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Pool Hill near Division Street and the 80's Party will be schedule for the end of February or beginning of March.

Hometown Christmas

Anyone interested in participating in the Youngsville's Hometown Christmas, Thursday, Dec. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. can get updated information and vendor forms at www.hometownxmasyoungsvillepa.blogspot.com or attend a ROY meeting at 9 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Youngsville Library.

Plans are underway for a parade, live music, cookie decorating, and Santa Claus will be at the Youngsville Public Library and Mrs. Claus in front of the Allegheny Artistry. First United Methodist Church will have hot drinks and cookies. The Masons and ROY will be serving hot food and drinks for the dinner hours. Ornament decorations will be at the First United Methodist Church. Participants can enter to win $50 gas card for coming to the event, one entry per household.

Outreach Dinner

The Outreach Dinner at St.Francis Episcopal Church in Youngsville will be Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. Our menu includes spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, and a variety of desserts. Donations appreciated. Take-outs after 6 p.m.

Auction

We have tools, toys, collectibles, wholesale food and much more.

Garland Community Center, 204 Extension Rd., Garland, on Sunday, Nov. 18. Auction begins at 1 p.m, doors open at noon and all proceeds benefit the Garland Community House Association/Community Center.

Gun Raffle

nd Turkey Party

The Youngsville Eagle Instrumental Boosters will be hosting its annual Gun Raffle and Turkey Party at the Youngsville Fire Hall on Saturday, Nov. 17. The doors open at 6 p.m. Gun raffle tickets will be available at the door. Lots of free food and beverages.

Come down and help us celebrate the Marching Eagles' second-place score at the Atlantic Coast Marching Band Championships.
