Stuck in the middle

Football: Eisenhower vs. Lakeview, District 10 Class A Quarterfinals, at War Memorial Field, 7 p.m.
Warren vs. Conneaut, District 10 Class AAA Quarterfinals, at Corry Area High School, 7 p.m.
Playoff tickets
Playoff tickets for the Warren Area High School football team will be on sale from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at the WAHS principal's office. All tickets are $5. Tickets will also be on sale at the gate at Corry Area High School.
Winter sports
Winter sports fees are now being collected at the Warren Area High School principal's office from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day through November 16. All players who wish to participate must make a $50 payment to the Warren County School District and a $25 payment to Warren Area High School. The $25 payment is to offset the cost of money that needs to be raised to pay for athletics at Warren Area High School.
Gate times
The War Memorial Field gates will open at 5 p.m. Friday for the Eisenhower vs. Lakeview District 10 Class A football playoff game to be held at 7 p.m. at that location. Parking behind War Memorial Field will be restricted to school buses and game personnel.
Volleyball meeting
The Eisenhower High School Volleyball Boosters will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Room 309 of the high school. Parents are encouraged to attend.
Tennis news
The annual Post Journal Tennis Classic will be held Friday, November 16 through Sunday, November 18 at the Lakewood Family YMCA. The event features Men's Open Singles, Men's A Singles, Men's Open Doubles, Men's A Doubles, Women's Open Singles, Women's A Singles, Women's Open Doubles, Women's A Doubles and Mixed Doubles adult divisions and boys and girls singles and doubles events for a variety of age groupings. Open divisions are intended for stronger players.
The deadline for entry is Monday, November 12. Entries received by Friday, November 9 will receive a free t-shirt. The cost is $20 for singles and $30 for doubles and the fee must accompany registration.
Refreshments and tennis balls are provided and awards will be given to the top finishers. Call the Lakewood Family YMCA beginning Wednesday, November 14, for starting times. Be prepared to play anytime over the weekend, including early mornings and evenings.
