Yes, we've been here before, which is a good thing for Eisenhower High School. While Taylor Talasky and the Lady Knights soccer program ended their season strong, so is Johnny Pascuzzi and the Region 2 champion Eisenhower football team. The Eisenhower girls soccer team ended with three straight wins, including two last week. The senior Talasky finished with 23 goals on the season, including five in an 8-1 win over Maplewood, and all three in a 3-1 win over Cambridge Springs in her swan song. Pascuzzi carried the ball 24 times for 291 yards and four touchdowns in a 67-26 win over Youngsville in the Backyard Brawl. The running back has rushed for 1,376 yards for 7-2 Eisenhower - 211 yards short of breaking Steve Witte's school record for a season. He's 124 yards short of matching Witte's all-time career rushing record of 3,115 yards. For now, he and Talasky are the Times Observer Athletes of the Week, sponsored by McDonald's.
