Five county golfers were rewarded for strong efforts this season with inclusion on the recently released District 10 all-region teams.

A pair of Warren boys golfers - sophomore Nathan Sandberg and freshman Andrew Gignac - were named to the Region 3 teams. Sandberg was a first-teamer while Gignac was a second-teamer. Eisenhower's Jake Linkerhof was named a second-team all-star in Region 5.
For the girls golf season, Warren teammates Morgan Smith and Megan Smoulder were each named to the Region 3 first-team.
Region teams are based off of region stroke averages for the recently completed 2012 season.
Despite being just a sophomore, this was Sandberg's second selection as a region all-star. Sandberg would go on to finish among the top ten at the District 10 Class AA Tournament held last month at the Grove City Country Club. Gignac was one of only two freshmen golfers to qualify for the D-10 Tournament.
Despite not qualifying for the District 10 field, Ike's Linkerhof was rewarded with his first region all-star selection.
Perhaps no two golfers provided better 2012 seasons than Warren girls teammates Smith and Smoulder. Smith completed her final year as a Dragon with a fourth-place finish at districts in October and was qualified for districts in three of her four seasons.
Smoulder wound up sixth at the district meet and has made the D-10 field in each of her first two seasons.
