Change may hurt winter carnival ice fishing contest

November 2, 2012
The Times Observer

Dear editor:

How can one expect change when the masses consistently and constantly repeat the same thing over and over? I once heard that the definition of insanity was repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Here we go again, another 4 years gone by and in one corner we have pro-abortion and in the other corner we have pro-war (both preemptive and preventable murder). The only exception being a constitutionally authorized war, which has been a rarity.

As usual the people are bombarded by mass media, we must pick one of the two.

The mentality of "I have to pick the lesser of two evils" because a vote for a candidate in line with my true conscience would result in a vote for the more evil one, is only true because you make it true.

You expect change? God is giving you what you asked for, duh! There is no excuse legitimate enough except stupidity.

It reminds me of a joke about a man on a rooftop during a flood in which two motorboats and a helicopter came to offer rescue but the man refused stating, "God will save me". Well the flood consumed him and when he got to heaven he asked God, "Why didn't you rescue me?" God replied I tried. I sent two motorboats and a helicopter.

As for me I can take a hint, I will write in Ron Paul!
