Movie Monday

Monday Night Movies at the Warren Public Library will continue Nov. 5. This event is free of charge and begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Slater Room on the third floor of the library. Thanks to donations, complimentary popcorn will be available. This week's PG rated, 93 minute film stars Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Becker, and Alexander Skarsgard. Inspired by Hasbro's classic naval game characters include Lt. Alex Hopper , a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones, Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper's fiancee, Hopper's older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Office Raikes, Hoper's crewmate and a weapons specialty on the USS John Paul Jones. Call the library at 723-4650 for the exact title of this and other movies in this series as the library's movie license does not permit listing the titles of movies outside the library.

Soup Tuesday

A soup and dessert dinner will be held at Lander United Methodist Church on Election Day, Nov. 6. Several different soups and chili will be served starting at 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. or until the soup is gone. The cost of the dinner is a donation which will help cover the cost of the all-church Bible study program "The Story."

Beef club to meet

The Warren County 4-H Beef Club will meet at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Sugar Grove Presbyterian Church (across from Kwik Fill).

Swiss steak served

A Swiss Steak Dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Sheffield Senior Center. Tickets will be available at the door and in advance for $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and younger.
