Happy Halloween
The Knights Marching Band along with the seniors on the varsity football team and cheerleaders were all on hand at the Sugar Grove Elementary school on Wednesday to kick off the Annual Halloween Parade. Prior to the parade the Marching Band played for the school and community in the front of the school. The band, football team and cheerleaders then led the entire school in a parade throughout town.

It's the 7th Annual Soup, Dessert, and Book Sale. Come to the Sugar Grove Free Library on Election Day, Tuesday Nov. 6. The library will be serving from 11 a.m. until gone. There are both dine in or carry out available. The types of soups will be a choice of the ever popular cheesy potato or the delicious vegetable beef. Served with bread or crackers and your choice of desserts and donated by some of our best hometown bakers.

Conferences

Just a reminder the Warren County School District will hold Parent teacher conferences on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012. Contact your school for information on scheduling a parent teacher conference. There will also be no classes held on Friday, Nov. 9. This is a professional training day for teachers in the Warren County School District.

Community

Lunch Schedule

The Community Lunches in the area continue to be well attended. All lunches begin at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend one of the area Community lunches. Each month lunch is held on the 1st Friday at the Mission Covenant Church at the corner of Matthews Run and Jackson Run Road. On the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church located at the corner of Race street and Jamestown Street in the center of town . On the 3rd Wednesday at the Hessel Valley Lutheran Church located in Chandlers Valley.

Go Blue and Gold

Our Fall Sports are coming to an end and we congratulate all those athletes in Cross Country, Golf, Boys and Girls Soccer, and our Volleyball teams on a wonderful season. The Knights Varsity Football Team will play in Cameron County for their final regular season game tonight . The game will begin at 7 p.m.

Grant received

Congratulations to Tammy Head, 5th grade teacher, at Sugar Grove Elementary School. She applied with other teachers throughout Warren County for a grant from the Warren/Forest Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR). Mary Meveniciti, Educational Support Chairperson awarded Head a check for $250 to be used for her class. Marcia Madigan, SGES Principal, was on hand to present the check to the class. The funds will be used for white boards and markers used in Head's math class.

Fill the Bus

Congratulations to the Sugar Grove Elementary School for receiving school supplies from the Fashion Bug in the North Warren Commons. It was called the Fashion Bug Fill the Bus campaign. During the month of August Fashion Bug stores across the country collected school supplies donated by patrons in each store. Every time a person donated a supplies they received a $10 off coupon to use during the month September on their purchases. The Fashion Bug in North Warren randomly selected one of our Warren County Schools to receive this year's donated supplies. The winner was the Sugar Grove Elementary School. Thank to all those who donated supplies they are greatly appreciated and Thank You to Fashion Bug in North Warren and their employees for all their work on this campaign.

Creative Card Class

November's monthly card class will be held on Monday, November 12th from 6-8 p.m. A seasonal card celebrating harvest will be created, along with a fun Christmas Snowman card. Cost for the class is $8. The class is helpful whether you are a beginner or experienced card creator. Postponed meeting
