J. Andrew Berdine, 69, of 1775 Stillwater Rd., Sugar Grove, Pa., passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pa.
Andy was born in Erie on November 17, 1942, a son of the late Bessie (Troutman) and Julius Berdine.
He was retired from his employment at Cummins Engine Co. in Jamestown, NY and also was previously employed at the Sugar Grove Farm Supply.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Berdine on Oct. 5, 2009.
Surviving are a daughter; Thomasina McIntyre, of Dryden, NY; 3 sons, Joshua Berdine, PhD, of Cambridge, England, Matthew Berdine, of Denver, Colorado and Daniel Berdine, PhD, of Arlington, Va.; a sister, Judy Nece and a brother, Tom Berdine; 4 grandchildren, Leah, Luke, and Andrew, and Ryder; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be holding a private memorial service and ask that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory to the Sugar Grove Free Library. The Sugar Grove Branch of McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. 117 Main St. Sugar Grove have been entrusted with all arrangements.
