Johnnie Foster, 67, of Pittsfield, PA, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the Rouse Warren County Home in Youngsville. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia on September 3, 1945, a son of the late Artie M. (Hancock) and Orrin M. Foster.

He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War Era. He was employed in the Crankshaft Division and Boring Division at Ellwood National Forge and also at the former National Forge Company where he worked for 45 years total. He was a member of the HalgrenWilcox Post #658 of the American Legion in Youngsville. He loved hunting and fishing.

He was the husband of Mable J. (Pugh) Foster, whom he married June 21, 1969 at Mission Covenant Church in Sugar Grove, Pa. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 3 sons, Johnnie (Belinda) Foster, of Alaska; Mark A. Foster, of Pennsylvania; James Foster, of Ohio; 4 sisters, Linda (Rex) Batten, of Virginia; Darlene (Lee) Cottrell, of West Virginia; Donna (Josh) Guy, of West Virginia; Carol Harris, of Virginia; 2 brothers, Billy (Gayle) Foster, of West Virginia, and Emmett (Jewel) Foster, of West Virginia, 7 grandchildren, Zachary, Caitlin Rose, Mason, Faith, Hope, Charity, and Libby, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Orrin Keith Foster and one sister, Betty Anne Barton.

Friends will be received Monday 24 & 68 pm at McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc., 54 West Main St. in Youngsville, where a funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 am on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Graveside services will follow immediately at Riverside Cemetery in Pittsfield, Pa., where full military honors will be presented by the Halgren Wilcox Post of the American Legion.
