Dolores A. Johnson, 82, of 682 Pleasant Drive, and formerly of 104 Park Ave., Warren, Pa., passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, October 25, 2012 at the Warren Manor.
Dolores was born March 8, 1930, in Venango County, Pa., the daughter of the late Jack and Mabel Hughes Sheffer. She was employed as an Aide for special needs children for many years with the Warren County School District at South Street Elementary School, and had previously worked at GTE Sylvania. Dolores was first and foremost a mother, wife, and a homemaker. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and her very close circle of friends. She was a member of the former Epworth United Methodist Church, and later the Warren Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Dolores loved to sing and was a very active choir member, and also played the organ.
She is survived by three sons: William Johnson and his wife Leesa Gern, Sumter, S.C.; Herb Johnson and his wife Sherry, Warren, Pa.; and Thomas Johnson, Sheffield, Pa.; two grandchildren: Nathan Gern Johnson, Attorney, Gahanna, Ohio, and Dr. Kristina Gern Johnson, MD, Charlottesville, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on December 15, 2002 by her husband, Robert R. Johnson, whom she married on September 23, 1955; an infant son Robert; and a sister, Louise Chaney.
Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Sunday, October 28, from, 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held there on Monday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, Youngsville Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ruth M. Smith Center, 407 S. Main Street, Sheffield, Pa. 16347.
