To dance Saturday
The Circle 8 Square Dance Club of Warren will hold a western-style square dance beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Warren State Hospital Gym. Dress will be formal square dance attire. Rodney Spencer will be caller. Observers are welcome. For more information, call 723-1052.
Program changed
Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., must change their program on "Herbs in Every Day Life" which was scheduled for Oct. 31. The new date for the program, given by Wanda Buerkle, will be on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 12:45 p.m. The public is welcome to attend this interesting program.
Trunk 'n Treat planned
First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave., Warren, will host a "Trunk 'n Treat" night on Halloween, Oct. 31. Parents and children are welcome to come "Trick or Treat" in the church parking lot between 6 and 8 p.m. where families will be giving away treats from the trunks of their decorated cars. The public also is welcome for a hot dog, cookies and a cup of hot cocoa. The event is free to the public.
Movie Monday
Monday Night Movies at the Warren Public Library will continue Oct. 29. This event is free of charge and will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Slater Room on the third floor of the library. Thanks to donations, complimentary popcorn will be available. This week's PG rated, 93 minute animated film stars the voices of Ben Stiller, Frances McDormand, and David Schwimmer. Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple and of course, King Julien, Maurice and the Penguins are all along for the comedic adventure. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent - Madagascar style. Call the library at 723-4650 for the exact title of this and other movies in this series as the library's movie license does not permit listing the titles of movies outside the library.
Adoration Saturday
Eucharistic adoration will be held at Holy Redeemer Church in honor of Make a Difference Day on Saturday Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited to come and make a difference with your prayers.
Class to dine
Warren Area High School Class of 1966 will have a dinner get together at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Richard's Restaurant, Youngsville. This will be the last get together for the year, so classmates, family, former faculty and friends of the class are encouraged to attend. Painting canceled
Pumpkin painting by the Penn State Master Gardeners at this week's Farmers Market has been canceled.
