James L. Kays, 57, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Golden Living Nursing Home, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born February 5, 1955 in Hornell, NY, the son of Richard and Peggy Kays. Jim enjoyed riding his motorcycles, boating, camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his loved ones. He was always willing to help anyone in need, and will be dearly missed by many. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Kays.
Jim is survived by his mother, Peggy Kays Weldon; four children: Josh Anderson of Jamestown, Ryan Kays of Jamestown, Regina Kays of Warren, and Jeremiah Kays of Erie; two brothers: Jerry Kays of Wrightsville, and Tim Kays of Pittsfield; two grand children: Jasmine and Brooke Stewart; a half brother: Daniel Mohr of Olean, NY, and his longtime companion, Nancy Clark.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 27 at 12:00 p.m., at Praise Fellowship Church, located at 7451 Market Street, Russell, PA 16345. Any contributions may be sent to Praise Fellowship Church to help with final expenses.
