Valu Home donates to Habitat

October 25, 2012
The Times Observer

Habitat for Humanity of Warren County would like to thank Valu Home Centers which donated a check for $2806.00, to the local program. This amount represents the Warren County affiliates' share of the $169,108.00, that Valu Home Centers raised in total on behalf of Habitat for Humanity.

The total amount raised was divided between the 16 Habitat Affiliates where Valu Home Centers is located. The funds were raised by Valu Home Centers customers who donated a dollar to enter the raffle for the new car. The money collected from each store will stay in that area to help build or rehabilitate homes for worthy families. Significantly, of all the Valu Home Centers stores in the company, the Warren County store had the second highest customer participation rate in the program.

Since 1993, Valu Home Centers has held an annual six-week fund raising campaign that benefits Habitat for Humanity.
