CORRY - Warren played a strong match, but ultimately couldn't string enough points together during a 3-1 loss to Corry Tuesday at Corry Area High School.
After dropping the opening game 12-25, the Dragons bounced back to tie the match at 1-1 with a 25-23 game two victory. However, the Beavers closed out the match with wins of 25-13 and 25-23 to end the night for Warren (6-7).
"We played a pretty nice game against what is a very good Corry team," said Warren coach Mike Dolan. "We just lacked consistency at key points in the match and that was the difference."
Rachel Lasecki finished with nine kills and seven digs in defeat and Valerie Latimer added nine kills and two blocks. Teah Bines added 21 assists, McKenzie Merenick had 16 digs and Bailey Dilks contributed seven digs.
Warren's junior varsity team was defeated, 16-25, 19-25. Tori Paris finished with three kills, Kaitlyn Sedon had eight assists and Keyan Anderson eight digs in the loss.
Warren closes out its season Thursday by hosting its second annual Pink Out against Oil City.

Cambridge Springs 3, Youngsville 0
CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS - Youngsville played Cambridge Springs much better this time around, but fell 22-25, 15-25, 19-25.
"We were right there, but just made (too many) mistakes," said Youngsville coach Bev Fox, whose Eagles are 4-11 and 3-10 in Region 2 with one match to go. Senior Night is on Thursday against Saegertown at Youngsville High School; Youngsville has two seniors, including one starter.
Kennedy Cratty had 16 digs, six kills and two blocks on Tuesday; Aubree Hendrickson 14 assists, three digs and one kill, and; Jessie Jameson 10 digs and "one heck of a defensive game," said Fox.
Elyssa Horn ended with 20 digs and eight kills for Youngsville's junior varsity in a 20-25, 25-21, 18-25 loss. Marissa Byler added 14 assists and four digs.
