In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Hessel Valley Lutheran Church will hold a benefit dinner this Thursday, Oct. 25, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Beef Stew, homemade biscuits and dessert will be served for a donation. All proceeds will go to help a local single mother recently diagnosed with breast cancer and struggling to pay bills and take time off work for treatment. Hessel Valley members are admiring a lovely handmade illuminated decorative end table donated by local craftsman Paul Tutmaher. The table will be raffled off during the dinner Thursday with all proceeds going to help the dinner's recipient. Pictured are Jane Collins, Johnny Csicsek, Paul Reed, Joan Abbey and Larry Reagle. Please come enjoy a fabulous meal and show community support for someone who needs a helping hand.
