Sunday fire damages home

October 23, 2012
The Times Observer

Volunteer firefighters from Grand Valley, Garland and Tidioute responded to a structure fire Sunday night at 1530 Sanford Road.

According to Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Department Chief Brad Wright, emergency responders were on-scene for approximately two and a half to three hours.

"We contained it pretty good," Wright said, "It burnt the living room up pretty bad and damaged a little bit of the upstairs."

Wright said it is believed a candle started the blaze.
