Varsity slate

Here is the varsity slate of action for county fall sports teams for Monday, October 22 through Thursday, October 25:

John Bowen’s Basketball Clinic
Over 50 boys and girls attended a free youth basketball clinic on Saturday, run by Warren County Sports Hall of Famer John Bowen, center, at the Warren County YMCA. Bowen, Warren County’s all-time leading high school scorer at 2,884 career points, focused on fundamentals, ran drills, and held contests with prizes for elementary to high school kids.

Girls Soccer: Eisenhower at Maplewood, 4 p.m.

Warren at Villa Maria, 4 p.m.

Volleyball: Eisenhower at Saegertown, 6 p.m.

Warren at Corry, 6 p.m.

Girls Soccer: Cambridge Springs at Eisenhower, 4 p.m.

Volleyball: Cochranton at Eisenhower, 6 p.m.

Ridgway at Sheffield, 6 p.m.

Jr. high cross

Here are the results for junior high cross country runners from Eisenhower, Beaty and Youngsville that competed in the Region 4 Junior High Cross Country Championships Saturday at Union City High School. The top seven runners in each race were considered first-team region all-stars while the next seven places (8-14) were considered second team region all-stars.

Boys

College news

Youngsville High School graduate and California University of Pennsylvania men's cross country team member Abel Robinault finished 54th overall in a time of 27:21.2 at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships Saturday at Slippery Rock University. Robinault and the Vulcans are back in action November 3 at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships at Lock Haven University.

Warren Area High School graduate and California University of Pennsylvania women's swim team member Kelsey Nuhfer helped the Vulcans win their season opening quad meet Saturday at Lock Haven University. Nuhfer was part of the winning 200 freestyle relay team that won in 1:41.38. Nuhfer also was a member of the 400 free relay team that won in 3:45.14.

Nuhfer and the Vulcans return to the pool on November 3 when they host dual meets against Gannon and Millersville.

Eisenhower High School graduate and Pitt-Bradford men's soccer team member Josiah Blick scored his third goal of the season in his team's 5-0 victory over Franciscan on Saturday. The Panthers (3-13) wrap up the regular season Tuesday at Medaille.

Ike football

The Eisenhower Football Boosters will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in Room 309 of the high school.

Meeting

A mandatory rules interpretation meeting for all basketball coaches and officials will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Warren Area High School Auditorium.

Youth soccer

The Kinzua U14 soccer team defeated Clarion, 4-1, on Sunday. Tyler Gustafson, Jimmy Lobdell, Seth Harrington and Andrew Beyer all had goals for the winners with Tanner Kayes adding an assist. Harrington and Dominick Giannini were the goalkeepers. A.J. Seyler was credited with a strong defensive effort for 5-1 Kinzua.
